Le fran\u00e7ais offre de nombreuses ressources concernant la r\u00e9daction \u00e9pic\u00e8ne; il importe de s\u2019en inspirer au moment m\u00eame de la r\u00e9daction du texte. L\u2019emploi r\u00e9fl\u00e9chi et pond\u00e9r\u00e9 des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de r\u00e9daction \u00e9pic\u00e8ne de m\u00eame que l\u2019adaptation de ceux-ci au type de texte assureront des textes clairs et lisibles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quelques principes g\u00e9n\u00e9raux<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les principes g\u00e9n\u00e9raux de r\u00e9daction \u00e9pic\u00e8ne, tir\u00e9s de l\u2019ouvrage <em>Avoir bon genre \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9crit : Guide de r\u00e9daction \u00e9pic\u00e8ne <\/em>(Les publications du Qu\u00e9bec, 2007) sont les suivants :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Abandonner la mise au masculin habituelle du texte.<\/li>\n<li>Penser \u00e9pic\u00e8ne et r\u00e9diger \u00e9pic\u00e8ne, d\u00e8s le d\u00e9part.<\/li>\n<li>Pr\u00e9server la lisibilit\u00e9 du texte (ne pas nuire \u00e0 la lecture).<\/li>\n<li>Assurer l\u2019intelligibilit\u00e9 du texte (ne pas nuire \u00e0 la compr\u00e9hension).<\/li>\n<li>Veiller \u00e0 une juste r\u00e9partition des formes f\u00e9minines.<\/li>\n<li>\u00c9valuer la pertinence du recours aux marques de genre et utiliser au besoin des tournures\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">qui n\u2019\u00e9voquent pas explicitement qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019hommes ou de femmes (voir premier\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">proc\u00e9d\u00e9 : formulations neutres).<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Utiliser toute la gamme des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s disponibles (ex. noms neutres, phrases \u00e9pic\u00e8nes et\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">doublets et non doublets seulement).<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Adapter la r\u00e9daction \u00e9pic\u00e8ne \u00e0 chaque type de texte (une convention collective ne se\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">r\u00e9digeant pas comme une carte professionnelle ni comme un article journalistique, par exemple).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>La forme tronqu\u00e9e\u00a0: une strat\u00e9gie \u00e0 \u00e9viter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tout comme l\u2019Office qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de la langue fran\u00e7aise, nous recommandons d\u2019\u00e9viter les formes tronqu\u00e9es (par exemple\u00a0:\u00a0<em>les \u00e9tudiant(e)s<\/em>,<em>\u00a0les citoyen.ne.s, les expert-e-s<\/em>,<em>\u00a0les \u00e9valuateur\/trices<\/em>,<em>\u00a0les professeurEs<\/em>), consid\u00e9rant que leur lecture est plus difficile et que ces formes nuisent donc \u00e0 la compr\u00e9hension du texte.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"_ftnref1\"><\/a><strong>Strat\u00e9gies privil\u00e9gi\u00e9es<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Voici quelques exemples de strat\u00e9gies \u00e0 mobiliser pour une \u00e9criture \u00e9pic\u00e8ne facile et lisible, la meilleure approche \u00e9tant de combiner les diff\u00e9rentes strat\u00e9gies.<\/p>\n<p><em>Formulation neutre<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Il est souvent possible de remplacer un mot genr\u00e9 par un mot neutre (liste tir\u00e9e du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usherbrooke.ca\/langue\/fileadmin\/sites\/langue\/documents\/guide_redacepicene.pdf\"><em>Guide relatif \u00e0 la r\u00e9daction \u00e9pic\u00e8ne\u00a0: respect des genres masculin et f\u00e9minin<\/em><\/a>\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Utiliser les noms neutres : Nom collectif (le personnel), nom de fonction (la direction) et nom \u00e9pic\u00e8ne (le ou la responsable).<\/li>\n<li>Utiliser les noms \u00e9pic\u00e8nes au pluriel :\u00a0<em>Les biblioth\u00e9caires\u00a0<\/em>plut\u00f4t que\u00a0<em>la biblioth\u00e9caire ou le biblioth\u00e9caire<\/em>\u00a0ou\u00a0<em>le ou la biblioth\u00e9caire<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Utiliser des adjectifs \u00e9pic\u00e8nes :\u00a0<em>Une candidate ou un candidat apte\u00a0<\/em>plut\u00f4t que\u00a0<em>une candidate ou un candidat qualifi\u00e9<\/em>,\u00a0<em>les droits humains<\/em>\u00a0plut\u00f4t que\u00a0<em>les droits de l\u2019Homme<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Utiliser des pronoms \u00e9pic\u00e8nes :\u00a0<em>Personne\u00a0<\/em>plut\u00f4t que\u00a0<em>aucun participant ni aucune participante<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>R\u00e9diger des phrases \u00e9pic\u00e8nes (qui prennent la m\u00eame forme au masculin ou au f\u00e9minin) :\u00a0<em>Avez-vous la citoyennet\u00e9 canadienne?\u00a0<\/em>plut\u00f4t que\u00a0<em>\u00cates-vous citoyenne canadienne ou citoyen masculin et f\u00e9minin<\/em><\/a>)\u00a0:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noms collectifs\u00a0<\/strong>:\u00a0Autorit\u00e9s, auditoire, client\u00e8le, collectivit\u00e9, communaut\u00e9, corps (enseignant), effectif, \u00e9lectorat, \u00e9quipe, foule, gens, groupe, lectorat, main d\u2019\u0153uvre, personnel, population, public, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noms de fonction\u00a0<\/strong>:\u00a0Direction, pr\u00e9sidence, rectorat, secr\u00e9tariat, tr\u00e9sorerie, tutorat, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noms d\u2019unit\u00e9s administratives\u00a0<\/strong>:\u00a0Administration, bureau, comit\u00e9, commission, conseil, d\u00e9partement, direction, office, r\u00e9gie, secr\u00e9tariat, service, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noms \u00e9pic\u00e8nes\u00a0<\/strong>:\u00a0Cadre, membre, personne, responsable, scientifique, sp\u00e9cialiste, universitaire, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adjectifs \u00e9pic\u00e8nes\u00a0<\/strong>:\u00a0Apte, convenable, adulte, universitaire, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pronoms \u00e9pic\u00e8nes\u00a0<\/strong>:\u00a0Nous, vous, personne, aucun, quiconque, plusieurs, etc.<\/p>\n<p><em>Utilisation du doublet<\/em><\/p>\n<p>La mani\u00e8re la plus simple de rendre hommes et femmes visibles est d\u2019utiliser le doublet. Cette strat\u00e9gie a aussi l\u2019avantage de marquer explicitement la place des femmes dans le propos tenu. Par souci de simplicit\u00e9, on ne r\u00e9p\u00e8te pas les articles, adjectifs et compl\u00e9ments (etc.).<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ordre des \u00e9l\u00e9ments du doublet est libre. Cependant, lorsqu\u2019est accol\u00e9 au doublet un mot s\u2019accordant au masculin, on place, si possible, l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ment masculin \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9\u00a0:\u00a0<em>les chercheuses et chercheurs postdoctoraux<\/em>, plut\u00f4t que\u00a0<em>les chercheurs et chercheuses postdoctoraux<\/em>.<\/p>\n<table width=\"660\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td
